Come worship with us
The essential credo of Shaarey Zedek is to be unconditionally accepting of anyone who walks through its doors, regardless of previous background or affiliation. It blends traditional values with modern day advancements and techniques. From adult education classes to holiday exhibits and hospital visitation, Shaarey Zedek extends a welcoming and loving hand to anyone seeking physical support or spiritual connection. Shaarey Zedek is lively and dynamic. Shaarey Zedek is warm and accessible. Shaarey Zedek is a place that young and old are proud to call home.
Our Shabbat services are traditional. They are led by myself, Rabbi Sholom Galperin and chanted by the Rabbi and members of our minyan. Our prayer books are written in both Hebrew and English, and the page numbers are announced continuously so you may always catch up if you prefer to meditate at a slower speed. The truth is that only each individual among us knows how he or she best communicates with G-d. At Shaarey Zedek the language you use or the pace you set for yourself are not of paramount importance.
Throughout the services melodies both old and new are sung, helping to enhance and inspire the pray experience.
Please join us for our weekly Kiddush immediately following the Shabbat morning service. Our Kiddush affords us a collective opportunity to break bread, to partake in traditional delicious Shabbat cuisine, to share the news of the week, and enjoy the warmth and companionship that emanate from this community.
I encourage you to join in our classes and programs.
I look forward to greeting each one of you at OUR Shul and would like to hear any feedback from you.
Warmest Regards,
Rabbi Sholom Galperin
